OAKLAND, Calif. – Marine Terminals Corp., a leading national contract stevedore and terminal operating company, has appointed Christian M. Eyler to the newly created position of vice president Coast Wide Operations, General Stevedoring Division.

Eyler brings 25 years of wide-ranging industry experience to MTC. He held management positions with Tropical Shipping, Military Traffic Management Command, Clark Maryland Terminals, Ceres Marine Terminals, and Transcom Terminals. In his new position at MTC, Eyler is in charge of West Coast operations for the general stevedoring division and reports to Don Wylie, the division’s executive vice president.

A graduate of SUNY Maritime College with a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology and oceanography, Eyler earned a U.S. Coast Guard Third Mate’s license in 1974 and holds numerous AAPA Professional Port Manager Program certificates.
