Colby Haines Tel: (562) 420-2782 December 15 , 2005 Total Terminals International (TTI) will begin servicing Taipei-headquartered Wan Hai Lines’ China-TransPacific Service 1 (CPTI) at TTI’s Oakland and Long Beach terminals beginning with the arrival of the M/V Wan Hai 503 E004 on Jan. 7 and the M/V Wan Hai 506 E003 Jan. 18, respectively. The CPTI fixed-day weekly service will use the new WH 500 series, 4250-TEU vessels (see attached) in a port rotation of Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Long Beach and Oakland. Weekly anticipated container volume discharged and loaded in Long Beach each Wednesday is 3500 and in Oakland each Saturday is 700. TTI Vice President of Customer Service and Sales Frank Capo spoke about the importance of this new additional service. “We are proud to be partners with a first-class container carrier such as Wan Hai Lines,” Capo said. “Its immediate success in the transpacific trade and continued growth since first calling the USWC in 2000 is remarkable for a relatively new carrier in this route. Being the largest intra-Asia carrier is a sound catalyst for Wan Hai to eventually become one of the largest transpacific carriers, and TTI is excited to grow along with such a dynamic company.” Total Terminals International is a full-service, third-party container terminal operator. TTI handles approximately 11 percent of all USWC container traffic through its leased and managed terminals in Long Beach, Oakland and Seattle, which total more than 500 acres.
