Receives NYK 2006 Customer Service Performance Award July 18, 2006 Marine Terminals Corp., a leading national contract stevedore and terminal operating company, received this year’s NYK 2006 Customer Service Performance Award, in a ceremony in New Jersey. The award, presented by Yukihiro Tatara, executive vice president, NYK Line (North America) Inc., was in recognition for MTC’s auto operations in the Columbia River and Puget Sound, where Marine Terminals Corp. handled 60,000 units in calendar year 2005 through the Port of Vancouver (USA) and the Port of Tacoma. Mike Munson, MTC site manager - Columbia River Autos Operation, and Ross Tietje, MTC Site Manager - Puget Sound Autos acknowledged their respective teams’ efforts. “Being recognized for excellence in customer service is very meaningful to our team,” Munson said. “It is gratifying to have NYK also mention its appreciation of our on-time, detailed post-operations reporting and our pro-active approach to the discharges.
