Marine Terminals Corp. Appoints VP/General Manager, Sales and Contracts, General Stevedoring Division

Marine Terminals Corp., a leading national contract stevedore and terminal operating company, recently appointed Tom Cremer to the new position of vice president/general manager, sales and contracts, General Stevedoring Division.

Cremer joins MTC with more than 25 years of maritime industry experience, which included key product, operations and sales management roles with both asset-based (carrier) and non-asset-based (3 PLs/forwarding) firms. His most recent position was general manager for International Intermodal Express (IIX) at APL Logistics. Other management and operations assignments include FedEx Trade Networks and Freight Solutions International, Direct Container Line (NVO), Sea-Land and Hanjin.

In his new position at MTC, Cremer will be stationed in its So. Calif. regional office in San Pedro and will be responsible for oversight of all sales and marketing activities, three sales persons, all contracting and contract compliance for the general stevedoring division and coordination of MTC’s participation in trade shows and conventions.

Cremer will report to Don Wylie, MTC executive vice president of general stevedoring services, who has this to say about Cremer’s appointment.

Cremer, a native of Oregon, received his BA in business from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, and completed the Executive MBA Program at Saint Mary’s College, Moraga, Calif. Cremer is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Processionals.
