MTC has moved forest products since 1931. We lead the industry in handling newsprint, linerboard and pulp, as well as plywood and lumber. We achieved leader status through meticulous attention to detail and investing in the industry and our people.

We take an active role in advancing the technology of moving these sensitive products by designing and investing in special equipment to provide smooth efficiency on the terminal and on the vessel.

We establish close working relationships as we partner with carriers, shippers and ports to provide customers with location and cargo-handling options for their cargo. Some products, as with newsprint, are handled at specific terminals for specialized, dedicated carriers. Other products, such as woodpulp, linerboard, plywood, lumber and logs may be discharged or loaded at public or private facilities in combination with other cargoes.

Our operations include top-vacuum Munck cranes and forklift movements, elevator vessels, covered barges and bulk carriers. Our terminal equipment of top-vac forklifts, palms, clamp trucks, Cranston bridles and other specially outfitted lifts are available to accommodate all forms of forest products.

In addition to stevedoring, Marine Terminals Corporation coordinates sorting, placement, dispatch to the consignee and can provide warehousing and dispatch control for on-demand cargo.
